One thing that Elicker has to straighten out is how unfriendly New Haven is to businesses. How ungrateful they are to the ones going out on a limb to provide opportunities to others. The people in city hall are so separated from this understanding that they go as far to threaten businesses who might only be guilty of skipping a beat. This might not sound like much, but as they do this businesses leave. Other businesses choose to start elsewhere. And guess what? A larger part of the burden falls on the tax paying citizens, residents of New Haven. And that burden becomes bigger and bigger as this system goes on.
